Second day of Eid Holiday and am yet to eat Sallah meat, no one invited me over 😊😊😊
#TipsTuesday,am sharing with you mental health awareness.
What comes to your mind when you hear mental health?
"Scary, Inaccurate or Violent Behavior"
But mental health goes beyond that,it includes emotional, psychological and social well-being.
It affects how you think,feel,act and also helps to determine how you handle stress and make healthy choices.
Mental health is important at any stage in life. It is also important to your overall health  because if one is depressed for instance, it can increase the risk of stroke or diabetes. A person's mental health can change overtime depending on a number of factors like economic hardship,loss of a loved one etc
Other risk factors include- 1:Adverse Childhood experience  like witnessing violence,, child abuse etc
2: Use of alcohol and drugs..
3: Loneliness or Isolation.
Tips to help improve mental health.
1: Relaxing to reduce stress
2:Find ways to be creative and learn new skills.
3: Spend time in nature
4: Connect with others
5: Look after your physical health
6: Try to improve your sleep.
