Time to say GOODBYE MARCH 2015

Monday morning 09:58am I went to see someone in her office.
Getting there, I was told she just stepped out. I can’t afford the stress of going and coming back later so I decided to wait for her since I needed her for some sort of assistance.
The secretary directed me to waiting room; in the room are two settees, a TV, display of awards and testimonials on the shelf. Piles of books and newspapers neatly arranged.
As I sat alone not knowing how long I have to wait, I decided to keep myself   company with a newspaper.
I grabbed one and found out it was January 2015,I made to drop it but again I need company in the quiet room.
So I decided to flip through, maybe I would see something of interest.
That was when my eyes caught the inspiring story of Mrs. Anthonia Hafunjoh Okoye.
A 43 years old woman with a husband, 5 young kids and a fashion business to cater for that made a first class and also graduated as the best graduating student.
Two things got me in her story, her first attempt ended in frustration.
Did she give up???
NO!!!
She still longed to fulfill her dream. That is determination!!
Lesson: Never give up on your dream no matter the challenges.
Second lesson, the support of her husband.
Dreams come true when you have your supportive supportsystem!!!
I was enjoying the read when the person I was waiting for came in so I had to drop the newspaper and focus on why I came for the meeting.
The story so got me that I left the office I googled her name.
Heheee…. everything is now google
You can read for yourself here
Hope you’re inspired to make the most out of life as you say goodbye to March 2015.
Stay connected and best of wishes.

Friday feelings.....

It’s Friday!!!!
Am having this feeling, yet to figure out my blogging schedule as in which days should I be blogging.
When I started in January, it was just Sundays.
Then February I decided to ‘up my game’, took it to Mondays and Sundays.
Somewhere along the line I dropped Sundays.
Seriously am yet to get it but whatever happens I know am committed to twice a week for now.
Let’s see how it goes…..
Do have a restful weekend, catch me on Monday hopefully.
To all my beautiful Nigerian friends please cast your vote and not stone.
Stand for peace, say no to violence.
Love always!!!

4 ways to be Monday Positive

Good afternoon dear friends, how’s your day going?
Hope better.
Last week on the blog, I wrote about Monday buzz kill.
Immediately I clicked publish, I felt guilty pangs like;
am I fueling Monday hate??
So I sprang to action seeking answers.
I stumbled into a lot of answers but I had to narrow them down to arrive at 4 ways to be Monday positive which I would like to share with you.

  • Start with a positive attitude: Monday is your first chance in the week for a fresh start. The weekend just ended with enough partying and resting. Don’t worry though; you’ll have plenty of weekends to come. Enjoy this Monday and give your week the perfect jump it needs.Be excited!!!
  • Write: Make a list of what you need to do on Monday over the weekend. This will help avoid stress and create some organization.
  • Dress your best: Clothes have a way of boosting your mood. Wear what makes you look and feel good. See how it transforms your personal and professional life.
  • Be Fabulous: Do something kind or nice. Think of some thing personal or genuinely valuable to say to a colleague like share a smile, compliment someone’s dress. Anything just spread the love and make someone's day.

Hope these tips help.
Do enjoy your week, show some love with your comments.
Love to hear from you.

Happy Thursday,see you next week.
All the best always!!

Thank God it's Monday!!

Thank God it’s Monday!!!
Wait, did I just say that??
Monday the beginning of the workweek is not the easiest day to love.
You hardly see or hear people celebrate Monday.
Even way back when I was a kid, Friday is the blast!!
You can find all the trouble you want in school.
By Monday morning, ‘random’ eating, sleeping and playing will make the offended to forget what happened.
As an adult it didn’t change much.
Monday is dreaded like hey! So am going to start all over again for the next four days before I get a break!!
The seriousness of Monday is too ‘jimjim’ (don’t look for that in dictionary)
It can’t be easier for you even if you don’t have a job or school to go to.
Monday morning no one has time for ‘chit-chat’ after greeting.
And once everyone leaves the house, it’s like ‘ghost town’, drop a pin you will hear the sound.
But must Monday be a downer of feelings.
So what can you do to beat the I hate Monday feelings??
